To all our Scottish customers, we are gearing up for a fun day this Thursday January 25th to celebrate Robbie Burns Day!
Here are some fun facts about him:
Robert Burns wrote his first poem when he was just 15. It was a song called ‘O Once I Lov’d (A Bonnie Lass)’ to impress a girl called Nellie. He died aged just 37 from rheumatic fever on 21 July 1796, but in his short life, he composed a catagloue of over 716 works.
Also, Burns wrote the words for one of the most-sung songs in the world: the New Year anthem Auld Lang Syne. Which, loosely translated from scots, means roughly ‘in remembrance of old times’.
Come out for a fun day celebrating the Scotts and their heritage. And don’t mind the strong-willed cattleman in the front row, with a steely determination to get some yearlings bought!
