Hi, my name is Avery McKenzie. This is my 1st year in the Warner 4 H Beef Club and I am loving it so far! My calf’s name is Hank and he is a black angus cross steer. He is very quiet and loves to eat! His favourite thing is to be combed and scratched. Outside of 4H, I enjoy playing basketball and baseball, riding my horse, and helping on our family farm. I am already looking forward to 4H next year!
What do you call a steer that is an artist? A moo-sterpiece! My name is Blair Duncan, I am 10 years old, and this is my first year in the Warner 4H Beef Club. This year I chose to do a market steer project. My steer’s name is Gunther and he is a polled Hereford. He is named after a character on one of my favourite TV shows. Gunther is very quiet and loves scratches. I have spent many evenings and weekends halter breaking, grooming him and training him to lead. I have also been working with my Dad and his friend BJ to develop nutrition plans to ensure that he truly is a moo-sterpiece that shows well and tastes delicious!
I’m Davey Pittman, this year I’m an intermediate member of the Warner 4-H Beef Club, and this is my 4th year in 4H. My steer for this year is a charolais cross named Teddy. Outside of 4H I also like riding horses and play baseball, volleyball, basketball, and badminton.

I have a herd as well, my heifers name is Sunday and she is a speckled park. Apart from 4-H I also enjoy doing volleyball, basketball, curling, archery, badminton and drama. Though getting to raise my animals in 4-H has to be one of my favorite things to do.

Hello! My name is Bristol Beckman, and I'm excited to be in my first year with the Warner 4-H Beef Club. My calf, Angus, is a red Angus/Simmental cross steer with a big appetite and a soft spot for head scratches. When I'm not with Angus you can find me helping out on our family farm, riding my horse, checking the cows out in the pasture, and looking forward to the busy and exciting time of calving!
